Ask The Web Designer
In the spirit of helping my fellow businessperson, I have decided to create this page dedicated to questions you may have about web design.
I know that not everybody grasps the concept of a website and web development and I hope to help alleviate some of the stess of deciding what route to go for a website for your business. No question is ever stupid.
Hiring a web designer should not be stressful but enjoyable because you are taking a leap into making your business more accessible. Unfortunately there may be some bad apples in the bunch but hopefully with me starting a page dedicated to web design, it will help you to get a better hold on what to look for when looking for a good web designer.
So I am ready and willing to answer any questions you may have about your website so fire away! Simply contact us using our contact form on our website and ask your question. If you want it kept confidential, we can do that but we prefer not to because your question may very well help somebody else. We will answer your questions personally via email as well as posting them on here.
Question number 2:
What is the most important element of SEO?
By far, the most important element of SEO is the content. In order to have good SEO, you must write for the visitor not for the search engines. If you stuff you website with keywords or do other bad SEO “tricks” it could end up getting you completely banned from search engines until you fix it and prove to them that you are using the right elements.
Question number 1:
What are some good opensource html editors?
I personally have used NVu and I liked it very much. However, keep in mind that an html editor is just that an editor. In order to create a website with an html editor, you will need to know graphic design because you are responsible for all images and graphics for the site such as the buttons, the header, etc. HTML editors are not for the faint of heart.
